It looks like Motorola is going to try to join the enterprise market with a new 7-inch android tablet which will enter beta testing in the future.
According to Engadget, someone revealed them a presentation slide which presents Motorola’s plans to be the “first physical embodiment defining Android for the Enterprise,”, with this new tablet getting beta testing in October this year.
The image above presents the slate with a 8 MP rear camera “with illumination and aiming” in order to scan barcodes and 1.3 MP front camera for video-chat. It will be powered by a 1GHZ OMAP 4 CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB NAND, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WI-FI and USB enabled.
Among the interesting features we can notice five hours of streaming video, resistance to four foot drop, extreme temperatures, “, excessive dust, and splashing water.”.
It will be interesting to see when this tablet will get into production and I believe not only enterprises will get their hands on it.
