More and more tablets are showing up now! Lenovo, a China-based company, announced that it wants to make its LePad tablet to work with both Android and Windows 7..wait..what? The tablet has a 10.1 inch 1,280×800 display, runs Android with Flash support, offers 3G connection + a number of Lenovo apps from China and it’s powered by a 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor.
The tablet also comes with its interesting U1 dock through which the LePad becomes a Windows machine “for users who need the full functionality of a mainstream laptop for doing content creation with Windows-based productivity applications.” It will be interesting to see the customers opinion in switching from one operating system to another. The U1 dock also has HDMI and USB ports.
The tablet will go on sale in the 1st quarter of 2011 in China as soon as Google releases Android 3.0 Honeycomb and will cost around $520 standalone and $1,300 with laptop dock which would give a nice laptop experience thanks to its Core i5 CPU.
